Trowels and spatulas for marble plaster

Choosing the right trowel is crucial for the application and the final appearance of marble plasters. Depending on their size, shape and design, these tools are suitable for applying, spreading, smoothing and compacting the plaster mixture.

For Stucco Veneziano and other fine marble plasters, Venetian trowels with high-quality, precision-finished stainless steel blades are the preferred choice. Rounded edges and a flexible blade allow for controlled compaction and reduce unwanted trowel marks. This enables the creation of particularly smooth surfaces, right down to the characteristic high-gloss finish.

Larger finishing trowels are particularly suitable for the rapid application and finishing of larger areas. Smaller trowels and spatulas, on the other hand, allow for precise work on corners, edges and hard-to-reach areas.

Which trowel is the right one?

The ideal size depends on the surface area, the application technique and your personal working style. A larger trowel is efficient for larger wall surfaces, whilst smaller Venetian trowels offer greater control for fine filling techniques. To achieve a high-quality result, it is therefore advisable to use different sizes for the individual stages of the work.
