Instructions for Punic Wax<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

Punic wax is used to protect\u00a0Stucco Veneziano<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Marmorino<\/a>\u00a0from acids and to polish them to a high gloss.<\/p>\n

Composition:<\/h2>\n

Beeswax, olive oil and water with potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide are saponified in a hot process to Punic Wax transparent. It is available in liquid or pasty consistency. Punic wax gold, pearlescent silver, silver glitter, copper or bronze contain pearlescent pigments. Pearlescent pigments are mica flakes coated with a layer of titanium dioxide and iron oxide. These effect waxes have a liquid consistency because, unlike Punic wax, they are saponified transparently with potash.<\/p>\n

Application and properties:<\/h2>\n

After the fresh lime coating has dried, depending on the climatic conditions and the substrate, approx. 2 \u2013 4 hours or more, Punic Wax is applied to the fresh lime; lime soap is formed, making the coating water-repellent. The wax forms a protection against acids and possible impurities can be removed more easily. Punic wax is hydrophobic, the surface becomes antistatic and no longer attracts dust, but remains open to diffusion.<\/p>\n

Processing:<\/h2>\n

Punic wax transparent: Apply with a\u00a0Venetian smoothing trowel<\/a>\u00a0and allow to flash off for approx. 30-45 minutes. Now polish to a high gloss with a\u00a0microfibre cloth<\/a>\u00a0or a polishing machine.
Punic wax with pearlescent pigments: Apply thinly with a Venetian trowel or with a\u00a0sponge<\/a>\u00a0and then polish to a high gloss with a microfibre cloth or polishing machine.<\/p>\n

Consumption:<\/a><\/h3>\n

1 litre depending on the structure and absorbency of the substrate approx. 25-30 m\u00b2.<\/p>\n
